Long Beach Process Service Prices

We provide updates after every service attempt, so you are always informed.

- Court filing | Document drop-off $80

- Posting and mailing Unlawful Detainers (3/30/60 day notice) $60

- Proof of Service court e-file fee $49

- Stakeout $100 an hour (2 hours minimum)

- Skip trace $100

- Services outside of Long Beach may incur a mileage fee

Payment Policy

All services require payment in advance. Once your order is submitted, an invoice will be sent for review. Service will begin after payment is received.

Order Guidelines

To ensure prompt and accurate service, please review the following requirements before submitting your request:

• One individual or business per address per order

• One case number per order

• Provide a complete and accurate service address (including unit, suite, or apartment number if applicable)

• Include a physical description of the subject, photograph/social media helps with identification

• Provide known work schedules, vehicles, or best times for service

• Clearly include any special instructions (e.g., gate codes, call boxes, safety concerns)

• Confirm the correct entity or individual name to be served

• Ensure documents are complete, signed, and court-ready before submission

• Provide the correct proof of service form that is needed 

Document Submission

• Documents must be emailed in PDF format

• Pricing includes up to 20 pages per order

• Additional pages are billed at $0.25 per page

• Additional fees may apply for improperly formatted documents

• Multiple documents for the same case should not be combined into one PDF file

Service Attempts

• Up to three attempts will be made per address

• Service is performed seven days a week, typically between 8 AM and 8 PM

• Status updates are provided via email or text message

• While every reasonable effort is made, successful service cannot be guaranteed

Proof of Service

• A Proof of Service will be issued upon completion

• If service is unsuccessful, a Declaration of Due Diligence/Non-Service will be promptly provided

• Documentation provided same day (within hours) upon completion of service 

• It is the client’s responsibility to file documents with the court unless our
  e-file services are rendered

Cancellations & Refunds

• Once a service attempt has been made, no refunds will be issued

• Fees are non-refundable once service attempts have been made, regardless of the outcome

• Orders canceled prior to service are subject to a $25 cancellation fee
